Merchant lunch. Expressive nose of apricot and smoke. Rich and sweet like a Sauternes. I don't like the combo of 13% alc and that much RS, it just gives a too much feeling.

Brown, madeira-like colour (very marked by maturity).
Wow, extremely spicy and matured! Herbal, licorice, smokey, rubbery, seaweed. Lots of ripe, cooked fruit.
Aromas makes me think of cigars and a mix of matured barolo, barolo chinato, madeira and rutherglen muscat.
A bit too mature for my taste (mature aromas a bit overpowering the fruit). Would love to pair this with a cigar or a dessert with notes of caramelized toasted nuts and/or well made dark chocolate.

Honey, apricot and flowers on the nose. But these are flowers wich are at the end of their lifes.... Some botritus bitter sharpness at the end. Full of vitality for it's 12 years and probable everlasting.

Very pure honey and apricot aromas are undeniably attractive, but slightly less complex and "in your face" than its #6 counterpart. The palate maintains good freshness for its age, with an acid backbone to matchup to its rich and candied apple-pie flavor profile. Certainly delicious but a wine I see working well alongside something savory, like foie gras.

Wonderfully concentrated TBA with good acid and balanced sweetness. Excellent with blue cheese.
