Cellar time has greatly improved this wine. Still a medium ruby, but the primary griotte cherry aromas now are overlaid with spice cake, leather, vanilla. Sweet but complex in the mouth, and the finish has become much longer too. Clearly was in a sullen phase last time I tried it. Could it improve even more with a few years additional time?
This is just such a great wine. Evolves in the glass to a perfectly aged burgundian styled pinot. Very feminine and elegant with coffee espresso which I love. Flowers, cola, tea, light red fruit. So glad to have several more of these.
