Dark purple with black cherry nose. Dry with tart tannins, medium restrained fruit, bing cherries with some stone fruit bitters. Nicely balance acid and tannins with the fruit, aged well and drinking smoothly with or without food.

Dark purple with cedar nose. Open a couple hours, chalky tannins, bright acid, medium bold body and fruit. Ripe Himalayan blackberries, still a bit primary and needs more time to integrate and balance the acid, fruit and tannins.

Wow, this is rocking on all cylinders right now. Did not expect much more than a nightly drinker. PNP, vanilla, tar, smoke and eucalyptus (menthol tones) flavors with medium dark fruit. Firm but not overpowering tannins, very well structured and balanced wine. Enjoyed this very much! Glad I have 3 more bottles. Nice find Full Pull.
Consistent with prior notes, this wine continues to show elegance, grace and backbone. Drinking so well now, it’s difficult to resist opening all remaining bottles.

An hour into the bottle and this wine is a completely different beast. Bright, high-toned cherries on the nose hint at what is coming, a soft, layered, lively palate full of fresh cherry, mineral, brine, and the luxury ride on the tannin train. This wine is all class, like your rich grandmother’s claret. It has the freshness, balance, and subtlety I am now coming to expect from my Washington noble grapes and it makes you work, or at least wait for it.
Two hours of air and the nose opens up to new French oak with vanilla and blueberry. The juice gets even livelier on the palate with the juicy forest fruit playing central stage and drawing the experience out through a long finish. The next time you open a Washington state Cab or Merlot that you feel isn’t punching in its weight class, just leave it be and come back to it after a few hours. You might be pleasantly surprised.
