Still drinking very nicely. Fully mature, probably a couple of years past its peak. Does not need decanting. Still a good fruit profile (plum) along with the earthy and spicy elements. Very nice balance and good complexity. Drink soon.

Soft, mature claret, black plum with citrus zest and cigarbox. Lower acids, no remaining tannin, some decaying leaf notes with time. Fun for now, but better not to hold. B

I did not decant it as it was one of the last bottles in a line-up of considerable wines. Great expression of St. Emilion and drinking near its peak right now. There is still plenty of plummy fruit left on the nose but the tertiary characters have developed beautifully and, surely, this is why we drink aged Bordeaux wines; not for a common fruit bowl. I'm not convinced that this wine should be decanted. If so, only right before serving. will dink nicely for another 3-5 years.

Far superior to the previous bottle from the same sealed wooden case, which confirms that we always have to deal with with wines of a certain age. As is often the case with L'Arrosee, there is a substantial tannin backbone , which will help this wine going forward. In my opinion there is plenty of fruit and texture to go along with the tannins. classic plum, earthy aromas and spices. I didn't have an opportunity to decant this wine, but it would have helped this wine show even better. I will be drinking the rest of this case over the next 8-10 years

Bottle was shot.
Oddly, the wine didn't even form bubbles after going through an aerator.
