  • Very nice surprise in that this was a dry and medium-bodied riesling. Excellent for the money, and will definitely buy again.

  • Not bad........definitely a good everyday drinker for the excellent price. First off, don't come into this wine expecting an off-dry German. If you like some of the more dry German Kabinetts, then this is similar, but with more of a tropical, rounded fruit flavor. Aromas of flint, grapefruit, citrus peel, and even a slight hint of acacia and dogwood blossom. Taste follows through with flavors similar to the bouqet. Very light golden straw in color, medium-light body, nice texture. Something I need to keep around the house for everyday drinking. People who like Sauvignon or Pinot Gris will probably like this, as well. Refreshing and tasty! A good buy! Drink over the next 18 months.

  • Dinner at Gervais & Vine in Columbia, SC. Clear with a tinge of straw to the color, this wine seemed to be in a Spatlese Trocken style. This had a very nice nose filled with peaches and grapefruit. Unfortunately the palate was too dry and acidic for it's own good with a short, shrill finish. Light bodied, this was drinkable but would have been better with a follow through of the nose onto the palate and finish. 50+11+9+7+7 = 84.
