Dark red color with a lighter ring edge that is not bicky. Enters the mouth with a soft texture and an undertow of both blackberry fruit and a dry tannin that extends all the way through to the final aftertaste. Overall, while showing good integration and fruit/acid/tannin balance, the wine lacks the richness and lushness that many from the superb 2007 vintage achieved.

Dark red with a lighter brick around the edge. Good cherry and raspberry aromas with nothing off-putting. Enters the mouth with an attractive smoothness, tasty fruit, and bright acidity. Upon swallowing, drying tannins add firmness and linger beside the fruit for about a minute, then wash away from the flow of saliva. Pleasurable by itself, easy on the pocketbook, excellent with food, and remained fine opened for days. No rush to drink, should be equally good for another couple of years. Stunningly perfect with a pasta where the sauce was made from herbs, tomatoes, and fingerling eggplant, plus a side of fresh fingerling cucumber and cherry tomatoes, where everything was home grown except for the pasta and cucumber.

Very nicely balanced effort. Full bodied with dark gravely fruits and some earthy spice on the finish. A decent wine from an outstanding vintage. Excellent quality for the price.

Rich, full bodied wine, very '07, in the sense that it has that full lush feel, but not a lot of garrigue or rustic qualities. The price is nice, as well. 87-88
