Sehr jugendliche Farbe, leicht violettstichiges, dichtes Rubinrot.

  • For me its a classical barolo and not modern at all. I will give you that the nose belies the taste. The noes does come across somewhat modern but that’s where it ends. Soft and gentle mouth feel with nice tannins and spice on the finish. At some point almost sangiovese like but not. Needs air and opens beautifully. You have yo understand rustic classic barolo to understand this wine and you will really enjoy it. Sorry, no technical notes, just the emotional character. One last point. Maestro once said a good barolo should be opened 12 hours in advance. This one could make you a believer.

  • A very modern interpretation of Barolo, but really tasty. A dominant flavor of mocha coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. The taste reminds me a lot of the "Pocket Coffee" sweets by Ferrero. A slighlty sweet fruit, super silky tannins and long finish. In the middle of the drinking window now. Lovely wine. I've always liked the 2005 Barolo vintage, especially for its relatively silky tannins. An underrated vintage imho. - 91 points

  • I echo other recent tasters. This wine is in a great drinking spot right now.

  • Delightful and in many ways classical. Finally at its peak, benefits from decanting still.
