Some Wines from a Swing Through France-Paris, Chablis, and Champagne; 4/1/2016-4/9/2016: Ruby. Excellent nose of gradually sweetening dark berry fruit, tobacco, herbs, and a strong olive finish. Harmonious feel, no doubt due to some wood, but this is very skillfully done. Rich but a nice acidic spine. Supple and very enjoyable now.

Full bodied but not excessively complex. Some sediment; will decant next bottle.
Bordeaux Vinexpo 2013 (Saint Estephe/Sauternes/Pomerol) (Bordeaux (F)): Ruby red. The tyoical fruity notes at nose are joined to some vegetal and barnyard hints. Also some fumè notes, both at nose and taste. In the average.
