  • After half hour in decanter: nose of black fruit (blackberries, black cherries), black licorice, grilled meat and spices (coriander and white pepper); on the palate, medium to medium plus tannins, medium acidity, fairly good length, very juicy with fruit (mostly sour blackberries and cherries) taking a backseat to strong green vegetation. As it sits, the palate is balancing out to the nose. Doubt I'll be able to wait to see where it ends up in two hours in the decanter. I like it!

  • Pretty similar notes, but now from 2nd day.
Now giving perhaps more salt-liquorice and medicinal notes than vegetal character.
Again a superb bottle of serious fun.

  • Intoxicating dark fruit, olives, meat, Worchestershire sauce -like pepperiness, rich vegetal notes and well integrated oak toast.
Full-bodied, lively and balanced with dark fruit and a fairly tannic grip. Some liquorice, vegetal notes and meat. Good length.
The wine is 80% Syrah and 20% Clairette, which seems to be working just fine. Open nose and nice fruit intensity on the palate. A fun wine!
