Burgundy Tasting (Ivy, George Street, Sydney): Funky, slightly cheesy and leesy over quite rich, but oddly muted, stone fruit and spice...In the mouth the wine is rich and textured, quite chewy almost, with peach fruit and plentiful spice and oak. All about structure. Good.

Aromatically open for business with engaging scents of honeysuckle mixing it up with orchard fruits and a little toast. In the mouth it has good volume and a buttery richness. It literally drips with sappy, white peach fruits and is long and fine with refreshing citrus fruit acidity.

Confrerie Burgundy Trip – Day 3 (Chassagne-Montrachet /Vosne-Romanee): Delicately perfumed first nose of flowers, then honey and sweet peaches. Very elegant. Palate of nutmeg, coconut, peaches and lime with medium to high acidity. Focused and balanced with a lingering finish.

More exotic rich fruit with less minerality than the Batard. I preferred this...Great texture and mouthfeel and good acidity. Pleasing finish.
