Great example of a New Zealand Sauv Blanc. The caliber of winemaker really comes through. The grassy flavors play well with strong New Zealand fruitiness.

After being chilled down for several hours, the nose is quite restrained; slightly grassy and herbal but with a steely chalkiness, and a hint of black pepper. The palate, neither too bold or brash like some NZ sauvs, is concentrated with green fruit, pears and apples with an impressive wave of acidity that keeps your mouth watering. Surprisingly reserved in comparison to many Sauvignon Blancs, perhaps due to the lack of residual sugar. ***1/2

Very nice, will seek out again. Grapefruit, lemon, lime. Well balanced... not as tart as so many SB's.
