Rating this low due to my prior note as this bottle of Tempranillo smells and tastes like a Pinot Noir. Not a bad bottle to drink but not representative of the Tempranillo varietal. My last bottle after gifting 2 other bottles.

I am rating this so low as this supposed Tempranillo smells and tastes like a Pinot Noir. Not that that is a bad thing but certainly not expected for a varietal tasting. CT user dbp hit this on the nose in his/her review. I ranked it lower due to it not reflecting the Tempranillo varietal. If you want to taste a Tempranillo that is like a Pinot Noir, then this is for you. In reviewing the Lange Winery's website, it appears they specialize in Pinot Noir. I wonder if this is actually a Pinot Noir bottle with a Tempranillo label? Sorry for being so harsh.

Random tasting in the Willamette Valley with Ken: Big thick fruit throughout. Spice, tobacco, and bitter astringency on the finish. Overall the texture was kind of thin and surprisingly, didn't taste too Tempranillo like... definitely reminiscent of their Pinot Noirs' style.

Seemed a little thin for a temp. Not bad...Hints of leather, smoke, and spice just muted
