  • A little oxidized note lingers from start to finish, but it manages to be balanced out by tropical fruits and great acidity. Pineapple, banana nut bread, brown sugar, lemon oil, fresh cut grass flavors are quite pleasing in this 100% sauvignon blanc. It is rich and oily.

  • Quite an odd wine -- dry, with aromas of musty mushroom and citrus (perhaps low-level TCA?). A far cry from the 2010's I drank young last year - odd and not bad, but not what I was looking for on this warm summer night.

  • Brought to Thanksgiving dinner....light crisp a big favorite of the group.

  • Medium yellow-golden color; nose has slight smoky oak, waxy citrus fruit, quite subtle in intensity; palate has medium body, fabulous acidity throughout from the midpalate through the finish, lime, citrus, a bit light on the fruit compared to the acidity; short finish. Based on my previous note in 2011, I think the oak has fully integrated now but it may have also lost some intensity of fruit. Overall this is a great value for sauvignon blanc/white bordeaux and a fabulous everyday pairing with food due to its high acidity (ie. I would buy again), but it lacks complexity or layers of many other better white bordeaux. Would not age further and would drink any other vintages of this wine within the first 5 years of release. 89-90

  • Fantastic. Citrus and nicely proportioned light/med toasted oak... gives it a bit of a toasted hay note. Excellent acidity snaps the palate to attention and the medium richness and good concentration gives this depth and breadth. Will never be confused with the crisp grassy type SB. Nothing profound here, just a surprisingly complete little wine that is quite good. Seems like it is perfectly within its window now. Great value.
