  Actually quite suprising. Smells of nothing but toast (this is not a mataphor - I really mean toast) but this is not really evident in the taste. On the mouth is quite subtle well balanced red berry / rose petal flavours - quite unlike any other pinot noir I've ever tasted. Worth trying just because its different.

  Strawberry red and full looking. The nose is bright, sweet fruit. The palate is sweet, red fruits. Juicy. Too sweet. When cooler it works better with a spicy edge to the palate.

  This is the best Pinot at this price point I have every tasted. It has a rich, seductively perfumed bouquet of strawberry, tobacco and vanilla, and a generous array of fruity flavours on the palate held together by just the right level of acidity, finishing with a polished, clean minerality and a very satisfying retronasal experience of spice and cedar. This is a remarkable wine at this price, and will accompany both fish and meat superbly, chilled slightly to around 15 degrees (important!) I will continue to buy this wine frequently.
