Modern dark wine, still quite young considering the tannic and fruity structure. Attractive on the nose with herbs, plums, spices, chocolate, dark cherries and some oak flavors On the palate, the attack is well made with good fruit, medium acidity, but the wine falls apart on the mid palate, very flat, heavy, not balanced in my view. The finish is still quite tannic with some dark chocolate and earthy flavors. alcohol is not perceived as problematic, even though on the high side. Lack the acidity backbone and structure on the mid palate to be a very good wine.
Did I open it too young, probably. can this improve? don't know.

Red fruit, tobacco, leather, dried leaves/autumn, black peppercorn, and subtle menthol on the nose. Decomposing wood, floral black peppercorn, currants, dried fruit on the palate. Full bodied. Nice acidity. Medium tannins. Lovely right out of the bottle.

Soft and approachable, notes of raisin, plums, dried plums, some orange peel and cherry. Low on acidity and polished tannins. pleasurable. 2nd day it had surprisingly already detoriated quite a bit showing more raisiny character and a flabby touch to it. Makes me think it is time to drink this up over the next couple of years max.

A well made modern wine with medium body and good intensity. Aroma of leather and mushrooms. However somewhat lacked the "wow" factor that the best Sicilian Nero D'Avola can provide.
