  • Mold on top of the cork, a very good sign, but in this case the cork was completely soaked through.

Very ripe with quite a bit of botrytis. This bottle had the acidity to back it up, unlike the bottle I had a few months back at a restaurant. Starts off a bit disjointed, with quiet thoughts of "premox...?" but enough fruit and acidity to keep drinking, although it hits with a slight awkward bitter finish.

The wine evolves quite a bit with air. The finish becomes full. A brief moment where the wine tastes a bit stale before the acidity integrates with the fruit. A bit of lift carries the wine. If it had a bit more concentration and more acid, it would remind me a bit of Montrachet, certainly not Macon. Some nuttiness develops in the finish, particularly hit by hazelnuts.

Quite a good showing, unlike the previous bottle of this that reminded me more of white Rhone due to the lack of acidity. Perhaps the acidity variance is definitely a sign that if you still have this, you should *definitely* be drinking these now.

Strålende vin i munn. Fyldig og bredskuldret stil, men oppleves som så raffinert og salig nå, i voksen alder. Sødmefull gul frukt, flott friskhet. En nydelig vin!

  • Dark color but the wine is still lively and drinking well. There are some nice honey/aged notes but also plenty of acidity and life left to keep things interesting.

  • seemed oxidized and tired compared with the 2002 Rosemary's vineyard from Talley. maybe a little too much oak for the slightly flabby fruit? my advice is drink soon, or drink without a more lively competitor. the '98 Village MP was more lively 2 nights ago

  • Pretty impressive and nice to see a sound bottle after several premixed ones. Mineral, rich, could be a Grand Cru white Burg wit its depth and power. Low in acid.
