13.8% abv. Recent auction purchase. Drinkable at this stage, but not very enjoyable. There is some classic SMV Pinot character here and some fruit is still there. Where this falls down is the high amount of VA, which (as my wife so accurately described) comes across as ripe pineapple that is about to turn bad.

Seemed like a traditional burgundy, a step above table wine, nothing too impressive, but not flawed, soured or anything else. Drank fairly well over 2 nights, no serious degradation with a vacuum pump. A little bit of dry earth, not too much fruit, and generally pleasant but not memorable. I would have preferred it with a light picnic lunch rather than dinner. A bit over priced at $24, although it appears that's above the community average.
