Splash decanted. Surprisingly little sediment. Perfect cork. Slight bricking. Cherry, leather. Silky, sweet tannins. Fresh, 13.5% ABV. What a great old school Napa cab.

I see that the last tasting note was many years ago. Not surprising as this wine was most likely consumed many years ago But it was a great surprise to open this and find it delicious. Deep red color, no bricking and a sweet cedar nose. One hour later still drinking, again surprising for its age. This was sitting in my cellar for at least 10 years since the Last bottle was opened, which my distant memory says was unimpressive. How did it improve after all these years?

started a little thin. With 2 hrs in a decanter it opened up. Wine needed that much time.
