  The best, most balanced, delicious and most expressive Santa Lucia pinot I have tasted. Pommard like in its insistent nose and taste. A hint of cola balanced by cherry fruit and earth notes. I hope that there is some of this to try tomorrow. Beautiful bright brick red pinot color. Ready to drink at 7 years old. Nose develops as the wine opens. Intoxicating, complex nose of light red fruit , a hint of cola and of earth, beautifully integrated. with a knock out taste of light red sweet berry fruit, tart acidity, a hint of oak a fruit. A finish to die for, goes on and on and knits the pieces together so that I yearn for another taste. Balance and the typicity of the SLH make this wine a stand out.

  It is light like a Pinot but it has the complexity of a fine cabernet. Beautiful legs for a Pinot and light in color, like a faded out red. At first I was afraid the wine itself had faded past peak but some beautiful legs on the glass gave me renewed hope. A slate and slightly spicy eucalyptus nose. The gift arrived on the taste. Silky mouthfeel, near perfect balance with cedar and cola on the front of the palate with a finish of cedar, leather, black pepper and a bit of eucalyptus as you take that long ride into the sunset. Great wine to sit by the fire, break out some gouda, relax and enjoy.

  Decanted about 1 hour. Very light in color for a California Pinot. Cherry and light red fruit. A little hint of rose and other florals. On the mouth, some cola and vanilla. Excellent Pinot that is drinking very well right now. No reason to hold this any longer.
