Not being the best judge of chianti (we've certainly drank our share in Italian Restaurants with a basket around the bottle), we can only comment from our experience and while we thought this was a good wine, and enjoyed drinking it, are finding it hard to bump our score into the very good category because there just wasn't enough to distinguish itself in this way for us.

Big, earthy nose. My favorite of the Badia chianti's we tried. Light tannins, and enjoyable mouth feel make this a wine easy to enjoy. Would be a very nice food wine.

Nose: Strong yeast smell. Taste: Nice clean with some tannins in finish

100% sangiovese. Not a terribly elegant nose - a bit muddy with a hint of brett. Good palate, but not exceptional. Good/Very Good.
