P & P. Huge fruity nose, with lots of oak apparent on the pop. A bit harsh right at the beginning, showing a medicinal cherry flavor backed with wood. Things calmed down a bit after an hour or so of air, and by the end of the bottle it was singing quite nicely. Cherry fruit, some earth and toasty oak flavors. Good wine, but pales when compared to the Shya from the same vintage. Tannins have resolved enough to be enjoyable, and acidity is nice. Another year or so probably wouldn't hurt, just to give it a chance to integrate the wood a bit more. Markedly less noticeable than the last bottle I had earlier this year, so another year may be the sweet spot, say Fall-ish 2012.

Popped and poured. Simple but enjoyable wine. Nose of vanilla, coffee and cherries. Medium to full mouthfeel, acid did not come across so the wine felt a bit fat. Flavors of coffee, spice and plums. Decent finish. Would purchase again.

Decanted 2 hours. Lots of spicy red fruit on the nose. Some tobacco as well. Quite a bit of wood detected, with black cherry fruit. I think this may need some more time. Somewhat tannic on the finish still, but still quite enjoyable.

(Pomum Cellars Red Blend Columbia Valley) Black cherry, a dusting of black tea, mocha powder, earth, and light herbal streaks on a gorgeous, engaging nose. Intense and loaded with fresh cherry and cranberries on the palate while still showing incredible lightness. Opens up in series of concentric rings before making a giant exclamation point on the finish. An outrageously high Quality-to-Price ratio wine. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc. 14.3% alcohol. 140 cases produced.

Medicinal black cherry. Surprising. Not nearly as big as expected.
