Northern Rhone night: Label from what I suspect to be the mid-90s. Dark golden in colour, still retained a little fizz but drank more like an aged sweet.

Demi Sec is a French wine term meaning “half-dry", thus this champagne should have been slightly to medium sweet.. however due to the over aging and possibly poor storage, it was overly sweet.
Not the most perfumed of noses, I already suspected that this may be a bit old. Then there was honey suckle and ripe apples on the palate but felt very disjointed. Overly simple too!
Happy Birthday to MIL.. Gathering at Chynna in KL Hilton, bro CKs pair of bubbles paired with my Alvarinho and Super Tuscan wines.

3 years on its lees, all premier cru, more Meunier than Chardonnay compared to the La Cuvee. And 40 grams RS. And a touch boring for all that too.

Perfectly good demi sec with candied apples and some sweet pain perdu. This works with desserts, but probably not worth drinking on it own.

Chalky nose with loads of bruised apple skins a little flabby on the finish.
