This winery came out with guns blazing and then, hit a hot streak. Against my advice (though it's not like I ever told them), they tried to do too much...with perhaps too much and so, started being not only unpredictable but even more detrimental, inconsistent. This great Petite an example of their many successes and so, support of my argument that they should have narrowed their concentration and focused more attention on their strengths. Deep almost blackish-purple. Sweet, ripe nose exploding with briary blackberries and plums. Similarly, the entry was ripe and chunky with a slightly savory burnt blackberry pie impression. The acidity was there but what really stood out and impressed was the full though smooth and chewy tannins.
