Very perfumed smell with beautiful menthol note in the background. Soft complex wine - very elegant and refined. Drinking very well now. Might go up in score after 2 hrs of air.

Yep probably just past its best but still a good wine and good reflection of what Figeac is capable. Complex and not over powering Hugh Johnson would love this wine. Tannin beginning to fade and so a little dilute. Decent complexity

This is a good medium bodied second wine that has outlived its time. Despite pristine into neck levels and excellent overall bottle conditions suggesting good provenance there is not much left in the way of aroma. On the palate still some mild dried fruit, orange and earthy notes but not enough tannins left to keep it all together. Medium and rather bitter finish. Still somewhat enjoyable but drink it if you have any as it's all downhill from here.

This bottle was in better condition than the one SimonG reviewed, because this had no port/fig notes. Very nice, mature but still structured, good find if you can get the provenance.

Julien S-M's 1990 Bordeaux (RSJ, London): Blind. Seems more mature, slightly porty, figgy, ripe, thick legs around the glass. A little disjointed for me. Lacks harmony. Others prefered it more. **1/2
