Fragrant and floral, with notes of black cherry and sous-bois. Really lovely right now, good concentration for a village wine. Took about 30 minutes in the glass to really open up. Drink now or over the next couple of years.

Really good wine and less oaked than most of the other Meo wines. Good to drink now, but could still improve for a year or two. IMHO 2008 has shown to be much better lately that I would even imagine a couple of years ago.

Medium ruby colour, restrained nose with aromas of redcurrant and forest strawberries, some menthol also and a touch of animal character. On the palate, med- body and tannins, med acidity and alcohol. Med intensity of red fruits flavours with a med length. Simple wine but quite elegant really, it is drinkeable now and I don't feel it'll improve with more time.

Enda en god rød 08 og Marsannay'en fra Meo er alltid den av Meo vinene som er tidligst drikkeklar. Bra vin!
