The other review of this wine is excellent, though we weren't quite as repulsed as the other reviewer was -- possibly because we drank it on our 5th night in a campsite in the North Cascades and alcoholic cool-aid would have tasted good. The wine is massively tannic with a very strong oak component. The main flavor, which seems to come from the oak, is violets. There's none of the nuance that you might find in a barolo, but you can tell that it's nebbiolo -- there's an extracted, simplified nebbiolo flavor as if it had been freeze-dried and reconstituted.

A good example of just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Possibly the worst expression of Nebbiolo I've ever tasted. Green, lean and foul.
