Young, tightly knit and rather primary on the nose as well as the palate but promising more to come with alot more age. It certainly has much under the hood - just not showing it off very well right now. In any case I like my vintage/LBV's Ports with more age so I had it coming for popping this one.

Nose of sambuca, blackcurrant, fudge and vanilla. Fairly heavy and closed nose, with alcohol seemingly sitting on top of the aroma. Smooth, slippery palate, with cassis, milk chocolate and a hint of charred, smoky meat. Powerful, but fairly tight-knit: should improve as it opens up with age. Crying out for a dessert with cherries and chocolate.

(Graham Late Bottled Vintage Port) Filtered; bottled 2010. Scintillating scents, fresh and pure, of ripe plum, freshly crushed grapes, and intense black pepper lead to a medium-bodied palate with solid stuffing and well-developed structure. The pleasant, dark-wild-berry flavor carries the same black-pepper overtone that was apparent on the nose. Solid structure and a medium-length finish. Consume now to 2016. LBV: The Other Vintage Port

Still good fruits and zingy, chocolate and mild tobacco.
