Somewhat unbalanced. The acidity a dried cranberry flavor predominated. It's possible that this may in part have been because the dish with which it was paired (Moroccan chicken & chickpea stew) was also acidic (because of a tomato base).

Strawberry & plum aromatics start off the wine. These aromatics are followed by a warm(ish) palette with a slightly spicey mouthfeel. The wine is smooth but it is also slightly acidic. The mid palette is enjoyable and has strong sweet strawberry flavor. The Finish is slightly acidic and fairly long.

This is a really good wine for $20! A lot of minerality and vanilla on the nose. On the palate, the initial flavor is muddled berries which quickly incorporate vanilla and minerality. The wine is very well balanced with nice tannins. I would buy this again and again. Very impressed!

perfect Napa Merlot. The Cabernet mixed in really made it shine.
