-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over approx. 4 hours -- -- 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot, 4% Malbec --
NOSE: moderately+ expressive; oak; earthy – literally smells like moist dirt; strong note of smoky leather; non-descript red/purple berry aromas.
BODY: clear; crimson color of medium-deep depth; medium to medium-full bodied.
TASTE: smooth rustic flavor – I’m inclined to call a touch of brett on this; has a smoky/leathery undertone to it, with a hint of gaminess; ample baked red/purple berry flavors; some oak is noticeable, but it doesn’t come across as too much; 13.5% not noticeable; good acidity; tannins provide a bit of weak mid-palate grip; loosely knit --- for drinking now --- granted, it is already 6 years old; a solid, if uninspiring, value wine.
B: 50, 5, 11, 14, 6 = 86

Not recommended. This was one of several wines tasted at a party and it was the least favorite. Most dumped out their glass and described the flavor as "ash".
