. Dry by modern Auslese standards (especially with a star!), light and elegant, green apple and pineapple, floral honeysuckle aromas. Nice length. Even though drier than most Auslese, I thought a bit sweet for the food, except fo the Sichaun beans/pork, where it was great. B++

Fully mature with a round, dry impression; notes of petrol, deep concentration.

A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Burgundy, Piedmont, Riesling, Champ and Sautenres (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Fully mature nose displaying baked apple, peach, burnt sugar, sweet spices and mineral. Good concentration, ripe yellow fruit with a hint of burnt sugar driven palate impression, bright acidity and long finish that is quite acidic. As David noted, surprisingly dry. Based on this example, no need to wait.

Fresh and vibrant. Intense acidity. Tropical fruits. Quite light and nimble for auslese at this age. Plenty of room to develop and deepen.

2nd heat damaged bottle in a row. That's what I get for buying from sketchy internet wine auctions.
