  • Had a bottle in my cellar and what a treat to Pata Negra ham and some parmesan. Had my doubts after previous comments but I assume the years made the wine better. Good taste, still little spicy, good value for money, will buy more and consume close to 2030,

  • *Light red with slight violet tingeing.

**Raw syrah that makes you curious. Spanning some length.

***If you describe this wine as monumental, you must go for the Eiffel Tower in key-chain-size. More like the bad Beaujolais of yore - but with syrah flavors. You can find more personality in a 7 dollar wine.

****Was REALLY looking forward to some snippets of serrano and peccorino in the company of a rustic wine... (My disappointment would send this wine into the 70-points. I've really tried to give it a fair opinion for what it is - not for what it is not.)

  • Elegant, medium bodied, with clear notes of pepper and spice, mullberries and blackberries and currants. Lacks a bit structure but has balance if that makes any sense.

  • My first impression of this wine was lovely. The smell is quite big, with lots of roses and violet. Very typical syrah. In mouth is was smooth, spicy with again some roses and violet. 7-10 sec long aftertaste. It was a little bit light for being a 100 % syrah, but I was not disappointed at this price. Will buy more.

  • By some happenstances I was offerered a taste of this wine again, completely independent of my own foray last Friday. This time is hadn't been opened and aired at all, and was suitably closed. It started off somewhat fruity and with almost no coherence - the (rather weak) tannins dominated nonetheless. After about an hour it had mellowed into a better structure, but was still too unassuming for my tastes. An ok wine.
