This is a pretty serious Bourgogne Rouge. It overdelivers for the price (about $25 in these parts), with crunchy red fruits surrounded by plenty of floral components, rich soil, dusty earth, and fresh herbs. The palate is light, but concentrated enough, with a fair amount of complexity and great supporting acidity (high) and fine tannins (medium). This is a pleasure to drink now, and I think it will continue to improve for another 5 years (but I'm really guessing at the lifespan).
