Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Tasting (The Moll House - Chicago IL): Aromas seems older with at least as much earth and fruit with some game-like hints. Similar flavors with plenty of red cherry, still firm tannins and an overall rugged, Old School style. Fits the Chassagne rouge stereotype of slightly coarse wine, even with good density.

Pale, fading at rim; earthy/dusty undertones overlaid by striking, bright red fruits, ; chiselled palate, acidity yet to be entirely tamed, broadens & softens but ultimately tight on a lively finish. Characterful. Worth leaving 5 years, assuming some fruit retained.

Fresh cranberries and dried red cherry on the nose. An acidic palate exhibiting bright red fruits of raspberry, red cherry and pomegranate. The acidity is a bit out of balance for me in this otherwise elegantly styled wine.
