On the palate the wine is lusciously sweet, with medium(-) acidity, medium alcohol, and a full body. The flavour intensity is pronounced, flavours include dried fruit, dried fig, raisins, roasted almond, walnut, honey, coffee, caramel, … The texture is rich and oily, the alcohol is well-integrated, the finish is very long.
This wine is of outstanding quality since it has great intensity of flavours, great concentration, very good complexity, and great length. It is ready to drink and will not improve with further time in bottle and is hence not suitable for further ageing in bottle.

Paler and less thick than previous PXs, albeit dark walnut and still quite syrupy. High-toned, fairly nutty, and very saline nose. Custard and something chemical, too. Similar taste, albeit less sickly. Like a nut-based dessert - peanut millionaire's shortbread? Anyhow, it's not really to my taste. [Screwcap; 17% abv; Goya23, Edinburgh, unknown price].

Brown fading to amber at the edges; very raisined nose with good complexity of dried fruits/figs nuts and spice, very inviting; full and weighty palate, very viscous, very good flavour and not too cloying or gloopy. A bit single minded on the palate with not so much complexity but still a nice PX, mind you at a bit of a premium price.

Dark and nutty, thick and sweet as expected. A good but not sensational PX

Chocolatey and super smooth, with sultana and cream and toffee notes. Long but not super rich.
