  • This was great!. Lots of fruit on the nose. Scent of berry came through. It was a medium color Pinot and just finished long and balanced. I had with two friends who also really enjoyed it. I have had the Beckstoffer as well and this bottle just seemed superior. It needs to be consumed now though as I too think the cork could be a problem.

  • I've heard a rumour that Acacia Pinots under synthetic seals aren't ageing as well as they did under cork, so I opened this as an experiment. It's not my favourite of the SVS as I noted before, but it's still a solid Pinot. Judging off this showing I think I'll consume the rest of my 02s in the coming months - it's simply not worth the risk and I doubt they'll improve.

  • Typical Acacia pinot - lots of cherries and fruit with a hint of chocolate. Nice enough but overall I prefer the Beckstoffer and St. Clair offerings.
