Another "I got it free clearing friends cellar" wine. Knew it was probably gone and it was. Slight bit of fruit left but not enough to make t drinkable. Oh well...price was right no problem pouring down the drain.

A nice Beaujolais. It wouldn't be a Beaujolais without fresh, bright fruit on the nose, and this's got that. There is more dryness than in most Beaujolais. The flavour lingers in a medium finish. Easily the best Beaujolais I've drunk so far. Very good (85.5).

Nice nose, red fruit, mainly strawberry, cherry and some earthy floral notes. Palate is somewhat thin, same earthy, floral strawberry components with some tannins on the finish.
Good for the price, but not great.

A bit thin and somewhat simplistic but would recommend this wine not only for price but because of the wonderful nose - especialy if you like wild strawberries and spring flowers! If nothing else, just open and enjoy the bouqet.

I love smooth, cheap wine, and for $11, it's hard to go wrong with this one. Gamay in general is very pino-esque to me since it has low tannins, and has the pinot smells of orange citrus, strawberry, and floral notes. The tastes in this wine is a bit simplistic, with the citrius notes dominating. I also wish the finish was a bit more balanced. But again, hard to beat the price.
