Brought to Terra American Bistro and shared with friends with dinner. We felt this was really a "two scores" wine. Popped and poured at the start of the evening. At that point, we were "This is okay - nothing particularly special." What we were really missing was any sort of nose and flavors on the front end of the wine. It just kind of sat on the middle of your tongue. At that point it was probably an 85 pt wine. After an hour... completely different wine!! The black fruits and some dark cherries were now very present at the front and there was now a nice long finish to it. After an hour, it was a 92. Lesson learned... get it open and let it breathe!!

For such a big, expressive Syrah this keeps a solid balance across the palate. Nose of tar and leather and earth and dark fruit with a consistent follow through on the palate. For those craving a rich but not cloying Syrah it's a good choice.

Had with friends, no detailed notes taken, but a really nice new world syrah, balanced, tar and earth and dark fruit nose, some bramble, soft with fine tannins and modest acids, but not flabby. Unsure of QPR, but this was enjoyable. We had it on its own, but this could have paired well with bolder dishes.

Quite meaty and expressive. Long finish. One of the better syrahs for the money.

Tight, full-bodied blackberry fruit with chewy, meaty, and slightly toasty flavors, good structure, short finish
