Decanted 2 hrs. ahead. Bright cherry-plum color. Fruit-forward nose of nutmeg, cherries and strawberries, a bit jammy. Things get more interesting on the palate, where hard-spice notes such as clove and nutmeg join with lively acidity in tart strawberry & rhubarb flavors. Finishes quickly, with licorice notes over very light tannins. A nice wine, medium-bodied, juicy, and not very complicated (good QPR at $16). Good for a crowd.

(13.5%) 88% Grenache, 10% Cinsault, 2% Syrah – Almost translucent violet in the glass with violet aromas, cherry and a bit of pepper on the nose. Starts bright and juicy with nice strawberry flavors, rhubarb leafs and hints of cherry. This is delivered over a smooth yet firm structure that shows nice acidity throughout. Firm tannins emerge on the mid-palate and lead to a dry, spicy finish that lingers on nicely. For $15 this is all you can ask for and more. I’ll certainly be looking to buy more…

Its almost a crime this Grenache based blend is <$20. Red fruit, rhubard, spice, even better second day. One of my top choices for an 'everyday' wine. (Everyday thanks to the low price.) Paired awesome with a red sauce pizza.

Drank as part of a blind tasting. Light in color but rich in taste. Smooth and drinkable
