  • Annual Rite of Spring Riesling for luncheon. Pours a medium citrine to amber, very gold. Heavenly aromas of petrol, butterscotch, sweet caramel, pineapple. Medium to full body, with superb secondary flavors of beeswax, butterscotch, limon and lemon drop. Has lost some of the racy acidity and electric razor sharp fruit, but has transformed into something more thought provoking and interesting. A fantastic wine still going strong at 15 years out. Sadly, the last bottle.

  • Rieslings and Rhones at Spoon Thai (Chicago, IL): Light yellow in colour. Nose is stunning with a very slatey character and lots of white fruits, flowers and some petrol. Silky and medium bodied on the palate with bright citrus and yellow fruits over lots of slate. Very elegant with great balance and a long finish.
