  Translucent cherry red with no fading. Deep cherry fruit on the nose. The palate is stunning. Powerful, yet elegant. Bright, yet deeply flavored. Black cherries melded with strawberry and moist earth notes. Fine tannins, great acidity and balance. The finish lingers with graceful notes of cherry and strawberry. This started to fade just a bit after two hours open. It's a marvelous wine, but I see no reason to wait and in fact I would drink in the near term. It's clearly at peak, but I don't think that peak will last much longer.

  APPEARANCE
  A clear red wine of medium intensity garnet color.
  NOSE
  Nose is clean and of medium intensity. Aromas of blackberry, prune, dried cherry, smoke, mushroom, and meat/game. This wine is fully developed.
  PALATE
  This dry wine has medium minus acidity and medium tannin. Alcohol is medium and body is medium. The flavors are of medium plus intensity and contain notes of lavender, dried blackberry, mushroom, and game. The finish is medium plus in length.
  CONCLUSIONS
  Outstanding, Drink now: not suitable for further ageing

  Showing maturity, but not age. Dark fruit, clove and cola on the nose. Lacks some vibrancy and brightness.

  Still showing very well. Retaining lively fruit while adding some complexity and refinement with age. Very enjoyable

  A little on the ripe side for my liking with rich red fruited flavours that come across slightly stewed and lacking freshness, and cinnamon and clove accents. Not my style of Pinot.
