At 15 years old, I was a little unsure. Cork withdrew intact, yet bottle would not pour? Turns out that there was a barrier of sediment in the neck of the bottle which is a little bit slender that had formed below the cork. It did not stick to the cork but instead stuck to the bottle! First time that has ever happened! Toward a dirty raspberry color into the glass. The nose was grilled ribeye, brambleberry, red licorice, eucalyptus. The entry was full-bodied, dirty brambleberry, ribeye that have been soaked in Worcestershire sauce for a couple of days before slapping on the grill. Immediately this transported me to a couple of 05 Cayuse wines that had a very similar profile. Finishes with a little bit of an acidic edge. I would say this is really the time to drink these if you have them, because I just can't see them getting any better in the bottle. But I would say so far this has been the shocker of 2020.... well, at least in the wine world anyway.......

Aroma is sharp, black cherry, a bit of stone. The flavor is also sharp, tannic, dark fruit... and maybe a hint of apple... finish is medium, with sweet cherry on tongue. There is also a light spiciness to this wine that I am finding pleasing. Better than average syrah, for sure.
