  • Fantastic stuff, but sadly no notes. Good all around, balance, and aged to perfection. B&J xmas party

  • Last of 3. Opened one in 2011, a second in 2017, and now. It has not improved with age. I am convinced that the wine is not flawed, just consistently undrinkable. Undescribable-did not taste like any other cab I have had-even the bad ones. After waiting 2 hours for it to improve after opening the best use I could make of it was to pour it down the drain. I adore the Aubert Chards and Pinots and am glad Aubert has gotten out of the cab business

  • Very tasty, but not a thrilling wine like I was expecting. Last bottle. Seems to have peaked a few years ago.

  • Fantastic showing. I’ve had all kinds of Cabernets old and new, old world and new world and never came across a bottle like this. Opened up, and on the nose a strong spearmint, cola and warm fruit wafted up. Perfume magnificent. On the palette, mysterious with fruit. This has peaked my interest. See how this will develop.
Poured another two to three ounce. Beautiful Cabernet nose, beautiful all around. Concentration, viscosity, acidity all right. Nose and palette extremely beautiful. Roses and freshness on the finish. Very refined or resolved tannins. Structure there. Perfect and beyond stellar bottle.

When you “stop everything” just to analyze and reflect on a glass of wine…..it is beyond great. That is this bottle so far. First night reflections.

Found out this is a Merlot dominant Bordeaux Blend. Only around 29% Cab. Tastes more like a cab dominant cuvée.

*2nd night has calmed down a bit. Has gotten more fruit forward, though refined. Definitely a warm cab blend Napa. Nice nose and beautiful freshness. Can feel the alcohol as well. Spearmint gone totally. Cab dominant, and can taste the merlot as well. Have opened a many Pomerols and Saint Emilions in my life.
*3rd night gained considerable weight. Beautiful nose and drinking still beautifully. Bottle with pedigree.
*5th night still going strong but has become a very fruit forward brute.

  • this was a brute. tons of fruit, very very hot; alcohol level seemed too high; and the tannins were really strong. After one hour, this started to smooth out - but it demands high fat foods to counter the punch of this. probably a 85 out of the bottle and a 88-90 after an hour (along with some marinated tri tip i had with it) so I'll rate this somewhere in the middle.
