Distinctive nose of ginger and allspice along with floral notes. Rich mouth, good balance on the finish, but has lost some of its acidity relative to what I recall from a few years ago.

Tasted a couple years ago, I was unimpressed and would have rated it around 86. But now this wine is really coming together, particularly on the second day after opening. Out of a big bowled glass, the nose is very complex with citrus, mineral and an unusual gingerbread spiciness, which echoes again on the long finish. The mid palate is rich but elegant, also with plenty of mineral. I wish I had saved more of these, as I'm now getting the impression this will further improve with age.

Already a really lovely wine with anticipated improvement over the next 2-3 years and would also anticipate the rating going up a point or two. This wine has significantly improved in the almost 2 years that we've had a few of these bottles. Very intense nose of initially citrusy notes with underlying pear and honeysuckle developing as the wine opened up in the glass. Medium body, good structure, good acidity, clear yellow color, very satisfying long finish. Initially surprisingly tight in the glass but opened up beautifully with a clean minerally palate and notes of green apple, lemon and baking spices developing late on the palate. I definitely recommend this wine, a good QPR wine if you can get it for under $30 / bottle.

Not my usual thing but this was nice and interesting. Oily, peachy, melony, a little bit tart but not a lightweight.

Good clean white Rhone, toasted almond, stone fruit, oily goodness.
