Opened to breathe for 2-3h. Delightful oaky, musty nose, hints of vanilla too. On the palate plush red and black fruit, mineral, oak, and an acid finish. Mom enjoyed this super tuscan. Tonight with shrimp and basil in Thai red curry. 91/92

In my cellar since release, decanted for about an hour before drinking over dinner of grilled steaks. This Cab-Sangio blend has a deep dark garnet color. The nose is light and floral along with red fruit and some herbal elements. The wine has a great texture with little tannin, good acidity and a chewiness and density that is quite appealing. Flavors are complex and fairly layered showing more red than black fruit, a little minerals, some oak generated elements and more of the herbal notes. Moderate length on the finish leaves you wanting a little more. Overall very nice and certainly ready to drink with at least a few more years of good drinking ahead.

Crimson coloured without a strong aroma. The wine was full-bodied and velvety. Balanced with medium acidity. The finish was reasonably long. Typical flavour profile for this blend.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mushroom, soy sauce, cedar and chocolate. It tastes like black currant (cassis), lemon, strawberry jam, mineral and flint. The body is full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
