  Burgundy highlight of the evening. This magnum was in perfect shape. Just great old Burgundy scented with some classic old-style barnyard as well as something more on the gamey side. There is a ton of sap to the fruit material -- and it does still have fruit! -- that makes this so rich and grippy in the mouth and then it reverberates with game and stone on the back end.
