We served this wine with marinated flank steak with a balsamic Dijon reduction. The wine matched wonderfully. Fruit and oak are balanced and with a smooth finish.

Inky. Wood and dark indistinct fruit. Oaky attack (and I mean "attack"), the fruit is well disguised. Bitter, heavy and with a sweet feeling. Firm. Overextracted. Not for me, although improved when consumed with cream sauce.

A dark berry profile on the nose with blueberry smoke and charcoal. Another nice offering from Woodward Canyon...more restrained and medium-bodied than I'm used to from a Washington State cabernet.
