Very nice, we definitely have something here. This 2008 is drinking very well right now. Has a screw cap, so we don't have to worry about the cork. The color is purple with really pretty magenta on the rim. The nose has some lees, alcohol, smoke, blackberry and wet earth. I really like the way this fruit profile expresses itself. There is nice separation of the individual fruit flavors. Starts out with a deep rich blackberry, almost like preserves, followed with plenty of other supporting fruit flavors like wild mulberry, ripe plum, light black cherry, and even a touch of red raspberry. Has almost perfectly balanced gritty tannins. The acid and oak have matured and integrated. Getting purple teeth. Has that typical Shiraz ability to totally coat the palate with blackberry fruit. The finish is really neat with things like cola, mocha, red licorice, spice and an emerging maraschino cherry. Good value too.

A great pitty we only had two bottles. Magnificent current and other black berry flavors throughout. Filtered and decanted for about an hour each before consuming, increased the pop and smoothness of the flavors. One of my personal favorites.

Grippy, concentrated nose of earth and fruit. In the mouth volatiles, spice, and sour fruit followed by a chewy savory and almost sweet pulse of dark fruits (blackberry, plum), then wood and leather. Finish fades of same elements.

Impressive depth and spiciness to go with bold and lush fruit. Great value at $15.99.

Very nice for the price; easy drinking without decanting ... with a moderate finish!
