Sulfer and matchsticks were pronounced at first and a vigorous decant was used to help it dissipate.
Apricots and butterscotch at first and then creamy with green apple. Later, after aeration, there is almonds, apple, marzipan, and freshly skinned small game.

Pale light gold color with copper shimmers. Somewhat reticent honeysuckle lemon zest nose that slightly improved with air and warming. Round, soft, moderate acidity. Melon, lemon snow cone, toast not overdone but not fully integrated. Butter oak morphing in to mineral and flint on the long complex finish.
I think this bottle was at or near its peak. This is a really really nice wine, true to the style and terroir yet well distinguished with complexity and subtlety, and arguably better than Kistler, Kongsgaard, Michel, and other slightly higher priced offerings.

Rich oaky nose with all the vanilla and cream notes. Similar notes on the palate with round, bright acidity from start to finish. Very nice.
