This hasn't changed too much from the last notes. Some age but still with a freshness from the acidity, disappointed the bottles empty which is always a good sign!

Oh this is mellowing. Soft round but with structure still. Hints of leathery meat and earth but it was all harmonious. Not enough to convert me to the pinot but getting there

Fresh earth and leather nose, some mushroom. Palate is lean, mushroom more noticeable and finish with a little cinnamon. This went from a 90 to 91 later in the evening as it relaxed and mellowed.

A small test of 2003 Bordeaux (With Mark and Keiko at home, Hong Kong): Had a glass after decanting which was very good but there was nothing exciting, starting to show some nice ageing. 3 hours later though it had really developed; rasberries, mushrooms and some earth with a little alcohol on the nose. Clean palate with red berries and some oak. Clean medium fine tannins and a medium short finish.

Little fruit on the nose, more earth and meat with some hot spice. A little plum on the palate with a sharper ending and less meat and earth. Alcohol is noticeable as is the acidity. Medium long crisp finish. This had changed by the end of the night and the following day. The fruit had started to show and it was coming into balance although still big. The finish lengthened and the whole wine took on a velvety shawl that was lovely. Either keep for several years or decant for several hours. Rating went from an 88 to a 92.
