This was a nice surprise. It's a 10 yr old that I've forgotten about, but it had plenty of flavor, impressive nose, excellent dark fruit and earthy stone notes. Good on the first sip, but expressed notably better with a 2 hr decant. It's also proof that cork-less wines can lay down long and still do well. Paired deliciously with lamb provencale and summer sweet corn.

Holding up well.....extremely smooth...burnt wood to the nose....one more bottle left.....probably only another year or two....not damm bad after 10 years.

Enticing aromas of berries; lovely fragrance. Not too complex, fruit-driven wine. Dark purplish red. Lots of dark fruits, cherries, and some red fruits on the palate. Some spicy notes, and oak. Medium length. The wine got sweeter and was at its optimum 2 hours later, towards the end of our meal. This was an above average wine, but unfortunately, not too memorable. I prefer the Elderton Command and Ashmead.

Evidently tryng to reclaim former glories , this is way better than older 2002 et al vintages I remember. Vivid garnet in glass, clean bright shiraz flavours dominate the nose with just a hint of cedar hiding in the intense black fruit. On the palate, tannins are nicely balanced with the dark fruit in medium body with longish finish.
